Medallion in bronze struck at Perinthos in Thrace under Gordian III. dated 238-244 n. Chr., catalogued as Corpus Nummorum type 3409. Obverse: Laureate bust of Gordian III, right, wearing cuirass and paludamentum; gorgoneion on breastplate. Reverse: Demeter and Homonoia; inbetween, altar; to left, Demeter standing right, holding ears of corn in left hand; at her feet, wheel; to right, Homonoia standing left, holding patera and cornucopia.
