This coach watch is a silver timekeeping piece created circa 1770/76 by the German maker Johann Eusebius Loderer in Augsburg, Germany. The circular silver case measures 11.8 cm (4 5/8 in.) in diameter and is fitted with a suspension neck and large top ring, threaded with cord.

The exterior of the silver case is richly worked in relief, featuring a mythological scene framed by architectural and rocaille scrollwork. Visible figures include a central seated female figure elevated on clouds, accompanied by a small child, a warrior-like figure holding a shield, and a seated male figure holding a caduceus, set against columns and a seascape background. Several winding or mounting apertures are visible across the relief composition, and a thin cord extends from the bottom of the case.
