Banknote proof is held by National Archaeological Museum (Spain), dated 1908, attributed to Banco de España. Description supplied by the holding institution: Carmine red color proof for the reverse of the 25 pesetas banknote from the issue of 1 December 1908. The sketches and plates were produced by Enrique Vaquer, engraver of the Banco de España and member of the Real Academia de San Fernando, and show his characteristic style of great refinement. The depicted motif is a female figure in classical style, set against an industrial landscape of factories and tools, next to the watermark. The collection record gives material recorded as Papel; Tinta [Paper; Ink]. Published through Europeana; how far this object represents a wider collectible type has not yet been independently verified.
