Sheet of Carol I with beard 10 bani blue stamps, Poșta Română, 1872 is held by National Museum of Romanian History, dated 1872. Museum description: The sheet is composed of 100 stamps.
The second column is perforated left-right. Prussian blue in colour, uncancelled, depicting in an oval the effigy of Prince Carol I. Inscriptions: top - DECE, left - POȘTA, right - ROMÂNĂ. Bottom - 10 bani 10. Missing material of approx. 2.5/1 cm from the white margin, on the lower edge. Cut of approx. 0.02 mm on the upper edge. On the reverse, traces of gum, and the upper corners show traces of glue and pink material from the backing to which they were attached.
Top left, hinge traces. The second column, due to the perforation, shows separation on the right side, along the height of the first stamp and half of the second. It is one of the first Romanian stamps with international franking validity, serving as a first step towards the recognition of Romania's state independence. The museum record gives measurements width: 34; height: 21.3; maker recorded: Poșta Română. These details come from the holding museum's own record; how far this object represents a wider collectible type has not yet been independently verified.
