The Conklin Mark Twain Limited Edition Red Overlay is a limited production fountain pen, conceived as a direct tribute to Mark Twain, who was one of the first promoters of the brand in the early twentieth century. Launched in 2001, this special edition was limited to only 150 numbered copies, making it a highly valued piece within the Conklin catalog. The body is made of polished red celluloid, a classic and durable material, and is covered with a finely engraved sterling silver overlay, which reinforces the structure and provides a traditionally inspired ornamental design. The center band features Mark Twain's engraved signature, recalling the historical connection between the author and the brand.

The pen uses an internal piston filling system, as opposed to the usual "Crescent Filler" mechanism that characterizes other Conklin editions. This change is intended to offer greater reliability and ease of use for frequent writing. No box. Unused. Good state of preservation.
