His activity in the campaign for freedom and the rejection of the monopoly of power of the communist party at the head of the Solidarity trade union in Poland was of vital importance to take his country out of the communist zone of influence and to activate the process of disintegration of the Communist Party. party in Europe. Lech Walesa received the Nobel Prize in 1983 "for the non-violent struggle for free trade unions and human rights in Poland". The pen celebrates the first decade of non-communist government in Poland that began in 1989 when Walesa won the presidential election, marking the birth of the modern Republic of Poland after decades of communist rule stemming from the Yalta Agreements.
Lech Walesa's signature is engraved on the resin body. This edition was presented to Lech Walesa by Pope John Paul II during his last visit.
