This gentleman's wristwatch was produced by the VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe (GUB) in East Germany circa 1965. The watch features a 34 mm diameter case with 20-micron gold plating and a stainless steel back, manufactured by Feingerätewerk Weimar.

The silver-coloured dial displays 'Glashütte 17 RUBIS' branding, applied gold-coloured wedge and baton indices with black inlays, a dot minute track, and a framed date aperture positioned at 3 o'clock. Timekeeping is managed by gold-coloured lance hands with black centre lines and a sweeping centre seconds hand. The watch is powered by a 17-jewel hand-wound movement, likely the GUB calibre 69.1, and features a fluted gold-coloured crown.

The case back is inscribed with 'WASSERGESCHÜTZT', 'EDELSTAHLBODEN', and 'PLAQUE 20 µm', along with the case maker's mark 'W'. The timepiece is fitted with a brownish-red leather strap adorned with a gold-coloured crest appliqué and a folding clasp.
