Movement and Dial
The timepiece is powered by an English full-plate verge movement featuring fire-gilt plates. Technical specifications include a fusee and chain power delivery system, a simple three-armed steel balance with a blued steel hairspring, and a diamond endstone. The balance cock is pierced and engraved. The dial is composed of white enamel and bears Roman numeral hour markers with Arabic numeral minute indicators. It is equipped with blued steel hands in the beetle and poker style. The dial currently shows a hairline crack, and the assembly includes a silver regulator disc.
Case and Enamel Decoration
The watch is housed in a 22-carat gold pair case. The outer case displays complex enamel work, incorporating both geometric champlevé and painted enamel techniques. The bezel and outer edges feature white and blue geometric patterns. This central scene is set against a pink ground and framed by multiple layers of colored enamel, including a dark blue ribbon motif, transparent green, and white borders.
Chatelaine and Accessories
The watch is accompanied by a matching chatelaine, which features a gilt clip decorated with various enamel medallions in shades of pink, green, blue, and white. This clip supports multiple chain strands that hold the watch, a faceted glass winding key, and an egg-shaped pink stone pendant. The entire set is presented in a modern display case finished in tan Moroccan leather with a glass lid. The auction description reports that the enamels and the hairline crack on the dial should be carefully inspected by collectors.
