This IWC Portofino, often referred to as a pocket-wristwatch, is an oversize neo-vintage timepiece featuring a distinctive 46 mm 18K gold case with a slim profile of approximately 6 mm.

The white dial is complemented by a moon phase complication and an elegant manual movement, Calibre 9521, which includes 19 jewels and a hand-formed Breguet mainspring. Constructed from 161 individual components, the movement features gilded decoration and gold chatons, following a classical layout with two bridges and four cocks. First introduced in 1984, the model integrates a historic pocket watch movement with a sophisticated wristwatch design, serving as the inspiration for the wider Portofino collection.

This specific example features push back housing and carries Movm. No. 2316330 and Case No. 2291866.It represents a transition in IWC’s design language, blending legacy technical craftsmanship with refined aesthetics.
