Period

This vintage gentleman's wristwatch by the German manufacturer Junghans features an automatic movement and dates to approximately 1970. The timepiece is housed in a cushion-shaped, facetted stainless steel case with a fluted crown and a stainless steel back.
Its dial is finished in a brushed silver tone, accented by applied silver-coloured Arabic numerals interspersed with luminous dots. The dial also displays the brand's eight-pointed star logo, the text 'JUNGHANS AUTOMATIC', and a framed date aperture positioned at 3 o'clock. Timekeeping is indicated by black baton-style hands with luminous inserts and a red centre seconds hand. The watch is complemented by a black leather strap featuring a decorative gold-coloured crest appliqué and a functional folding clasp.
With a diameter of 36 mm and a height of 11 mm, the watch reflects the functional, clear design language characteristic of the brand's output during the late twentieth century. It remains in good worn condition consistent with its age.
