Period

1886-1982 (artist lifespan)

This large-format color lithograph poster was designed by the Swiss artist Karl Bickel (1886–1982) for the PKZ clothing brand, featuring the slogan 'So Kleidet'.

The poster depicts a stylish man dressed in a yellow suit and matching straw hat, reaching up toward blossoms against a vibrant blue background. The composition is marked with the designer's monogram in the plate at the upper right corner and includes the printer's attribution to Wolfsberg Zuerich at the base. Measuring 50 inches in height by 35 inches in width for the sheet itself, the piece is presented in a frame that measures 53.75 inches by 39 inches.

It serves as an example of early 20th-century Swiss advertising graphic design, showcasing the clean lines and bold color palette characteristic of the period's commercial art. The print exhibits typical signs of age including minor cracking, creasing to the edges, and slight marking in the lower right area.
