This vintage Omega Cosmic triple calendar wristwatch, reference 2486-2, dates to approximately 1947. It features a polished round gold-plated case measuring 37mm in diameter, with a snap-on case back bearing a personal inscription.
The watch is powered by an Omega 17-jewel Caliber 27 DLPC manual wind movement, numbered 11207601. The black dial is detailed with gilt dart hour markers and outer minute and calendar scales. Calendar functions include apertures for the day and month positioned below the 12 o'clock marker, accompanied by a blue calendar hand. A subsidiary dial at the 6 o'clock position displays the moon phase along with the subsidiary seconds.
The watch features gilt dagger-style hands. Externally, the case includes quick-set buttons at the 2, 4, and 8 o'clock positions. The timepiece is fitted with an associated black leather strap and a gilt buckle. The watch is signed on the dial, case, and movement, representing a classic example of mid-20th-century complex horology.
