Period

probably circa 1930s

In the 1980s, this watch was sent by its previous owners to a silversmith in Dörnigheim near Hanau to be melted down. It was subsequently restored by a watchmaker in Austria and was fully functional as of 2021.

The piece is presumed to date from around the 1930s, though this attribution is uncertain. The photograph of the watch was taken at the Mathe-AC Lernwerkstatt in Aachen.
