18-carat gold demi-hunter pocket watch with 15-jewel Swiss movement

This pocket watch features an 18-carat gold demi-hunter case housing a keyless, stem-wound and set 15-jewel Swiss movement. The machine-engraved case features chapters around the front opening and encloses a metal dome. The enamel dial includes blue hands and a subsidiary seconds dial.
The dial is marked "West End Watch Co / Competition / Bombay, Calcutta / Swiss Made." The dome bears the presentation engraving: "Presented to A.Monro by his friends and brother workmen at Bilaspur," alongside an 18K hallmark. The watch is part of the Applied Arts and Design collection at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, to which it was gifted by Dorothy Munro.
