Assignat printed on one side; field, bordered at the top and sides by bands divided into compartments with leaf ornament and inscriptions; in the central field: inscription "République Française. / Assignat de cinquante livres / De la Création du 14.
Déc. 1792 l'An premier de la République / Hypothèque sur les Domaines Nationaux." above a woman with a ship's rudder in her left hand and holding a wreath with her right hand above a rooster standing beside her, seated on a pedestal whose base is decorated with a Phrygian cap between two fasces; to the right of the pedestal: signature, to the left relief stamp: Hercules with club raised above his head slays the seven-headed Hydra; over the image the text "FAUX / UTRECHT" is printed three times.
