The Romanov tercentenary issues are a Russian commemorative stamp series released in 1913 to mark three hundred years of Romanov dynastic rule. Issued as part of nationwide jubilee events across the Russian Empire, the set formed the first major commemorative postal release in Russia and the final one produced before the revolutionary period.

The designs of the series centre on imperial authority and dynastic history, portraying individual Russian tsars as well as architectural views of imperial buildings. These depictions aligned with the broader 1913 tercentenary celebrations, which emphasised the history of the dynasty from the accession of Tsar Mikhail I in 1613 through the reign of Nicholas II.

Historical context

The series was produced in 1913 as the Russian Empire's first large commemorative programme, marking the 300th anniversary of the House of Romanov since the election of Mikhail I in 1613. Launched amidst extensive empire-wide festivities that commenced in Saint Petersburg in February 1913, the issue was part of a major imperial campaign designed to inspire support for the autocracy and celebrate dynastic permanence. Representing the last major commemorative issue before the revolutionary era, the stamps reflected the official jubilee focus on the monarchy and historic imperial rule.
