This Series 1907 United States $5 legal tender bank note, colloquially known as the 'Woodchopper' note, is a significant piece of American paper currency. The obverse features a portrait of Andrew Jackson positioned on the left side, contrasted by a central engraved vignette depicting a pioneer family, from which the note derives its nickname.

The obverse design also incorporates a red Treasury seal and the denomination prominently displayed. The reverse is printed in green using an engraving technique. This specific example features the serial number H78161874 accompanied by a star symbol, denoting it as a replacement note issued to substitute for one damaged during the production process. The note includes the printed signature of Treasury Register H. Speelman.

Measuring 7.5 inches in width by 3.25 inches in depth, the bill represents the aesthetic and security printing styles characteristic of early 20th-century U.S. government-issued currency.
