"We are our own liberators - ZANLA" is a political poster produced as a colour offset lithograph on paper. The composition centres on a dark blue silhouette of a freedom fighter holding a rifle, framed by green foliage along the left side and set against a radiant sunrise motif rendered in bold red and yellow rays. Across the upper margin, a dark blue border contains the slogan, while the acronym "ZANLA" is printed vertically in dark blue lettering in the lower right portion.

The artwork incorporates the symbolic colours associated with Zimbabwe's national flag. Green represents agriculture and African land, yellow (or gold) signifies prosperity, and red denotes the blood spilled in the struggle to achieve independence for black Africans. The poster was designed by The Poster Collective and produced in the United Kingdom around 1976. It is catalogued under museum accession number E.539-2021.
