Period

c. 1850–60

Voigtländer, in Vienna and Braunschweig (assumed). This conical camera design is matched to the Voigtländer lens 3.4/27 cm no. 6533 (drive is movable, still without Waterhouse stop, lens clean under point light); when shooting at infinity and without focusing on the lens, the necessary extension on the box is only a few millimeters.

The camera body, lens and focusing screen holder are original, the screw ring and ground have been replaced/supplemented later, and there are thin wooden strips on the underside of the camera that are not original and can be removed.
