Produced in a limited edition of just 200 pieces, the Paul Picot Atelier La Rattrappante represents one of the most ambitious creations of the independent manufacture. Housed in an 18K yellow gold case, it combines a split-seconds chronograph with a complete calendar and moon phases, powered by a movement of remarkable historical significance. At its heart lies the legendary Venus calibre 179, a manually wound split-seconds chronograph with column-wheel control originally manufactured in the 1940s.

Drawing upon a stock of new-old-stock movements, Paul Picot meticulously reworked each calibre in Le Noirmont, incorporating a swan-neck regulator, Incabloc shock protection, finely bevelled bridges and levers with hand-finished anglage, and a complete calendar module with moon-phase display. The elegant two tone dial is enhanced by a guilloché centre, perfectly complementing the movement's traditional craftsmanship.

Marrying the golden age of Swiss chronograph manufacture with modern artisanal finishing, the Atelier La Rattrappante is a highly exclusive and technically fascinating timepiece.
