The Ansonia "Triumph" mantel clock is an American-made timepiece from the late 19th-century Victorian era, characterized by a walnut case with elaborate decorative features.

The clock features an arched, molded hood crowned with scrolling ornament and a gilt-colored mask mount. The central glazed door, which provides a view of the internal mechanism, is framed by narrow vertical mirrors on either side and is further embellished with a scrolling foliate border. The clock's face consists of a paper Roman-numeral dial housed within a brass-colored bezel. Internally, the clock features a brass movement and an ornate, lyre-shaped pendulum fitted with two cylindrical bobs.

The movement strikes against a coiled gong. The entire structure rests upon a stepped, curved base decorated with gilt-colored ornamentation. Measuring 24 inches in height, 16 inches in width, and 5.5 inches in depth, the piece retains historical markers including a dial inscription identifying the Ansonia Clock Company, New York, and a fragmentary factory label on the rear confirming the "Triumph" model.
