Turn-key is held by Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe. Museum description: This key locked a warded lock. Warded locks were rotary locks with a tumbler spring. Their keys had a "C"-, "S"-, "Z"- or "t"-shaped bit. When turned inside the lock, this engaged with the teeth of a bolt and thus shifted the spring of the locking mechanism. The key is an old or stray find from the Baden Limes area that can no longer be localized to an exact findspot. The museum record gives measurements Height: 0.6 cm, Width: 2.8 cm, Length: 5.3 cm. These details come from the holding museum's own record; how far this object represents a wider collectible type has not yet been independently verified.
