In the upper part of the cross is a metal ring through which the ribbon is attached.; reverse: The reverse is similar to the obverse, with the mention that inside the medallion the years "1916" and "1918" are stamped in relief, in golden metal, arranged one below the other.; shape: cross; reverse legend: 1916 / 1918.; edge: smooth; remarks: The medal was awarded to all military personnel, assimilated persons of any rank, civil servants, and all persons who took part in military campaigns during the Great War.
