Museum description: obverse: The medal is in the form of a Byzantine cross made of iron, with the surface of the cross arms hatched, and their ends rhomboidal; obverse: the edges of the cross arms are bordered with golden metal.

In the center of the cross is a golden ring, inside of which is stamped the cipher of King Ferdinand I, crowned, in relief, made of the same golden, bronzed metal.
