Record status
Individual type · partial
Drobeta-Turnu Severin - Water Castle, C.P.B. (photographer) is held by National Heritage Institute, Bucharest. Museum description: The postcard has holographic text on the reverse dated 24 February 1992 and an addressee, but lacks a stamp and postmarks (it was probably sent in an envelope).
The Water Castle is 27 meters high and is the tallest construction in Drobeta. It was built in medieval style. The Water Castle is structured on several levels housing exhibition spaces, an art gallery, and a tourist information point. Tourists have two options for reaching the top of the Tower: either the shortest, using an elevator, or by climbing several hundred stairs, an effort that would be well worth it.
