Tile plaque is held by National Museum of Romanian History. Museum description: Glazed stove tile plaque with a foot. Rectangular in shape, the edge is slightly raised.
The decoration is in relief and depicts a castle with five towers supported by a tulip-shaped base; to the right and left of the base are the monograms C and K, and on the base Д•K•B 1656; the whole is framed by a raised rhombus. In each of the four corners is a plant with three tendrils and a flower at the end of each tendril. The entire piece is polychrome glazed on a white ground, with the relief decoration colored in blue, green, and brown.
The back retains fabric impressions and the tile's foot (on two corners, the remainder filled with plaster), which is pierced for mounting. The piece is reconstructed, showing plaster fills in the centre and along the lower edge. Iconographic and decorative motifs: Fortress with five towers. The museum record gives measurements length: 230 mm; width: 228 mm; thickness: 10 mm; height: 52 mm. These details come from the holding museum's own record; how far this object represents a wider collectible type has not yet been independently verified.
