Description supplied by the holding institution: Rectangular pin badge with anti-Italian propaganda message. Three soldiers are depicted side by side, in a martial attack position, wearing Austrian, German, and Hungarian uniforms, into whose backs a fourth soldier, an Italian Bersagliere in green uniform, plunges a dagger, at which moment he himself is struck by lightning. Below is the inscription: „1915” (the year of Italy's defection), and above: „Bundestreue?”
(„Loyalty of an ally?”). The piece belonged to Baron István Ugron (1862–1948), diplomat in the service of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy (between 1887–1918), president of the Transylvanian Museum Society (between 1921–1925), and president of the Hungarian Party in Romania (between 1923–1926). The collection record gives material recorded as yellow metal, stamping, enamelling; Pin badge, made of yellow metal, obtained through mechanical stamping, enamelled over the entire surface; measurements H: 2.8 cm; max L: 3.7 cm.
