This circular bronze commemorative medal was issued in 1910 to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Friedrich Wilhelm University of Berlin, now known as the Humboldt University of Berlin.

The obverse features an equestrian figure of Wilhelm II facing right, accompanied by the Latin inscription "REX BORUSSIAE GUILIELMUS II IMPERATOR GERMANORUM," which translates to King of Prussia Wilhelm II, German Emperor, along with the date in Roman numerals, MDCCCCX. The reverse is inscribed with the Latin text "Vniversitati Fridericae Guilelmae Berolinensi saecvlaria agenti," celebrating the university's centennial.

Measuring 4 1/4 inches (10.5 cm) in diameter, the medal displays an even dark patina. It is presented in its original fitted presentation case, which is decorated with a gilt-embossed Imperial Prussian eagle on the exterior. The medal reflects the significant relationship between the German Imperial state and prominent academic institutions during the era of Kaiser Wilhelm II.
