Period

ca. 1902

A postcard depicting an advertisement pillar with various inscriptions stands at the corner of the street. A dog is urinating against it. The legend in German reads: 'It is first rate for you here and that's why I'm sending it to you today: you are, you know, you old owl, as silent as an advertisement pillar.' Advertisement pillars doubled as pissoirs and could be seen as phallic-shaped

It was acquired in 1960 by E.J. Dingwell.
