A postcard depicting virility through sexual symbolism: Four mushrooms are drawn within encircling rose branches. Each represents a season: Printemps, Eté, Automne et Hiver. For Spring, the mushroom is slender and smallish and is surrounded by branches with buds. For Summer, the mushroom is large and surrounded by flowers, for Autumn, the mushroom is larger still and surrounded by fruiting branches. Lastly, for Winter, the mushroom is drooping and the branches have only thorns.
It was acquired in 1960 by E.J. Dingwell.
