Hexagonal quartz-fritware tile. On a ground of thick green glaze, a border in lustre running parallel to the perimeter has been applied, containing an inscription in Arabic characters: 'In den naam van Allah, barmhartig en mededogend.

Allah is één. Hij is de God tot wie alle wezens zich richten met hun noden. Hij heeft niet verwekt en is niet verwekt. Hij heeft geen gelijke in wie ook.' (Koran ch. 112). In the centre are the names of the Twelve Imams. Originating from the palace of Selim II at Anetrinopel. The metallic lustre has become almost entirely dull, so that the inscriptions are only visible under certain angles of light. Damaged at the corners.
