The iron pin- or through-keys (BK-NM-678/79) are cast from the same mould. NM-679 is gilded and has a bit that is partially broken off. The finely detailed key bit fits the cross and strip warding of the lock, the shank is openworked, and the key bow has the shape of a double monogram JM surrounded by scrollwork, with a marquess's coronet (five strawberry leaves). Description translated from the museum's Dutch catalogue text; details are those of this museum object, and how far it represents a wider type has not been independently verified.
