Obverse: Poetry, depicted as a woman seated at the foot of Mount Helicon with a lyre and wreath; she reaches out her hand to a cherub holding an open book before her; behind it another cherub reads in a book; in the background Pegasus, whose hoof causes a spring to burst from the mountain, illuminated by a radiant all-seeing eye, within a circumscription; exergue: year. Reverse: cloth with inscription and garland hanging from a console upon which lie a trumpet, lyre, and sheet of parchment.
