SALVADOR DALÍ I DOMÈNECH, "Don Quixote and the Cosmic Eye"

DocumentedSupported by at least one credible specialist source.

Record status

Individual type · partial

Period

1975

On the back, entitled "Dalí at work", Dalí has made a series of quick, calligraphic drawings in blue ballpoint pen ink. The drawn elements are: the schematic representation of Don Quixote, with lance and shield (Dalí was obsessed, throughout his life, with Cervantes' character); a cosmic eye from which parabolic lines radiate, landing on a small planet drawn with a spiral.

The postcard is dated with large numbers "1975", written in his characteristic handwriting.
