This object is a display card featuring 16 nylon buttons arranged in four rows of four. The buttons are circular with rope-patterned edges and are produced in black, white, and red. They are mounted upon a rectangular card covered in a bright red synthetic textile that exhibits a patterned, watered sheen. The buttons vary in size across the rows, reaching a maximum diameter of 2.2 cm.

The button card measures 30.3 cm in length and 20.3 cm in width. The buttons were manufactured by John Templeton (Buttons) Ltd. in Great Britain during the 1970s. The stylistic design of the buttons was copied directly from contemporary Czechoslovakian glass buttons of the era.
