Period

1933-1945

The button measures 24mm in diameter and features a distinctive pebbled texture on its front surface. At its center, a prominent stylized eagle with outstretched wings is depicted, clutching a circular wreath containing a swastika.

The reverse reveals a silver-colored metallic back with an intact loop shank. It is clearly marked with the RZM (Reichszeugmeisterei) logo and the manufacturer code "M5/71", which identifies it as a product of F. W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, a known supplier of insignia for the Nazi Party. This button would have been worn on the tunics or caps of Nazi Party officials.
