Record status

Individual type · partial

This Alfred Dunhill tobacco pipe is a standout piece from the limited-edition Longitude series, numbered 525 of 2000. Crafted in the classic Shell Briar style, the pipe features a distinctively sandblasted black finish contrasted by a smooth, dark-stained briar underside.

Its most notable design feature is the integrated world time-zone complication located at the bowl rim. This mechanical detail consists of a silver-plated ring engraved with international city names, paired with a rotating gold-plated numerical band marked 1 through 24, highlighted by a single set cabochon ruby marker. The pipe includes a vulcanite bit and measures 6 inches in length, 1.5 inches in width, and 1.875 inches in height.

It is presented in a sophisticated, book-shaped black leather case featuring an embossed globe and clock face, accompanied by a black fabric pouch and its original retail box. The underside of the pipe bears the official Alfred Dunhill stamp, Shell Briar mark, and country of origin.
