Medallion in bronze struck at Bizye in Thrace under Philippus Arabs, dated AD 244–249. Corpus Nummorum, the online type corpus of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, records it as CN type 1563 (period: Roman Imperial Period; issuing authority type: city).

Obverse: Laureate bust of Philip the Arab, right, wearing cuirass and paludamentum. Legend: ΑVΤ Μ ΙΟVΛ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟϹ ΑVΓ. Reverse: Heros (Apollo) and two warriors; to left, two warriors standing right, holding shield and spear; to right, heros (Apollo) standing left, holding spear in left arm; next to him, horse. Legend: ΒΙΖVΗΝΩΝ. Measured specimens give a mean weight of 29.5 g (from 1 recorded specimen) and a diameter of 40 mm (from 1 recorded specimen).
