Reverse: Emperor (Geta) and city goddess facing each other, clasping right hands; to left, emperor (Geta) in military attire standing right, holding sceptre in left hand; to right, city goddess standing left, holding sceptre in left hand. Legend: ΑVΓΟVϹΤΗϹ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΗϹ. Measured specimens give a mean weight of 15.06 g (mean of 2 recorded specimens) and a diameter of 29–30 mm (from 5 recorded specimens).

Historical context
Publius Septimius Geta was proclaimed Augustus or co-emperor in 209, ruling alongside his father Septimius Severus and his older brother Caracalla until his murder in December 211. Following the death of Severus in February 211, the brothers proved incapable of sharing imperial power. This civic coinage was produced between 209 and 211 at Augusta Traiana, a city in the Roman province of Thrace that had earlier been known as Beroe.
