4 unit in bronze struck at Deultum in Thrace under Diadumenian, dated AD 217–218. Corpus Nummorum, the online type corpus of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, records it as CN type 927 (period: Roman Imperial Period).

Obverse: Bare-headed bust of Diadumenian, right, wearing paludamentum. Legend: M OPEL ANTONINVS DIAD C. Reverse: Perseus and Andromeda; Perseus standing left, holding harpa and head of Gorgo, releasing Andromeda from her chains and stepping on Cetus turned to stone. Legend: COL FL PAC DEVLT. Measured specimens give a mean weight of 7.08 g (from 1 recorded specimen) and a diameter of 24 mm (from 1 recorded specimen). Historical context

Diadumenian was the son of the Roman emperor Macrinus, who acceded to the imperial throne in 217. Diadumenian was appointed caesar in May 217 and subsequently elevated to co-emperor in May 218 amid the revolt of Elagabalus. Following Macrinus's defeat at the Battle of Antioch on 8 June 218, Diadumenian was captured and executed while attempting to reach Parthia, after which both rulers suffered damnatio memoriae. This bronze unit was minted during his brief reign between AD 217 and 218 at the ancient city of Deultum in Thrace.
