On the front: within the central cartouche a landscape with weeping willow, banana trees, bamboo and prunus with fanning branches. In the foreground water with rocks.

Of the three figures, one man and one woman hold a fan in their hand; the other man (with moustache) sits between them on a rock and appears to watch the interaction between the others. The woman wears an elaborate hairstyle and is highlighted in various places with red paint. On the back: within a similar landscape, a walled hut is visible on the right with the woman looking over the low wall. In the centre, the man with moustache sits on a stool and looks at the woman, while on the left a man with a filled dish walks away looking back.

Again a few touches of red in the figures. The border decoration of leaf and flower motifs is identical on the front and back, as well as on the guards. Metal rivet with metal washer. The Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, holds this object as BK-18308-A; its record gives material recorded as wood (plant material), lacquer (coating), gilt paint; technique lacquering, paint, cutting.
