This object is a paper fan mount titled "Chapel fan," created in the United Kingdom in 1796 by an unknown maker. Produced using the engraving printing technique on paper, the mount displays a curved fan-leaf shape featuring printed religious imagery and extensive accompanying text.

The composition is anchored by a central oval medallion enclosing a figural group, surrounded by decorative borders. Smaller lunette or circular vignettes flank the upper edges, portraying kneeling figures, while winged cherub heads and link-like festoons frame the various sections. Printed verses and hymns are integrated into the design on either side of the central scene, complemented by decorative architectural-style borders along the lower curve.
