Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo, left; laurel branch before. Legend: ΔΙΑ ΧΑΙΡЄΦΑΝΟΥ. Reverse: Goat standing right. Legend: ΑΝΤΑΝΔΡΙΩΝ. Historical context

Antandros, or Antandrus, was an ancient Greek city situated on the northern side of the Gulf of Adramyttium within the Troad. The Troad itself was a historical region in north-western Anatolia bounded by the Dardanelles and the Aegean Sea. Struck during the Roman Imperial Period between AD 79 and 81, this civic bronze coin was issued under local authority in the region.
