Obol in silver struck at Kebren in Troas, dated c. 412–400 BC. Corpus Nummorum, the online type corpus of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, records it as CN type 21376 (period: Classical Period; issuing authority type: city).

Obverse: Two ram heads back to back, facing downwards; in between, palmette. Legend: ΚΕΒΡΕ. Reverse: Incuse of mill-sail pattern. Measured specimens give a mean weight of 0.46 g (mean of 11 recorded specimens) and a diameter of 6–8 mm (from 10 recorded specimens). Historical context

This silver obol was struck between c. 412 and 400 BC during the Classical Period at Cebrene in the Troad region of Anatolia. An ancient Greek city situated in the middle Skamander valley, Cebrene was supposedly named after the river-god Cebren. Its archaeological remains lie on Çal Dağ in the foothills of Mount Ida, around 7 km south of the Skamander.
