Obverse: Laureate bust of Philip the Arab, right, wearing cuirass and paludamentum. Legend: ΑVΤ Κ Μ ΙΟVΛ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟϹ ΑVΓ. Reverse: Dionysus (nude) standing facing, head left, holding cantharus with r. hand and leaning on thyrsus with l. hand; to left, Satyr holding up child towards cantharus; to right, panther striding to the right and looking back. Legend: ΕΠΙ ΑVΡ ΔΡΑVΚΟV ΕΠΑΦΡΟΔΕΙΤΟV ΠΡΩ ΑΡΧ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΩΝ. Measured specimens give a mean weight of 21.46 g (mean of 3 recorded specimens) and a diameter of 36–38 mm (from 2 recorded specimens).
