Hadrianoi, also known as Hadriani ad Olympum, was an ancient city founded by the emperor Hadrian on a spur of Mount Olympus, near modern Orhaneli in Asiatic Turkey. Philip the Arab ruled as Roman Emperor from 244 to 249, marking an unusually stable period during the crisis of the third century. Struck between AD 244 and 249, this civic bronze coin carries the radiate bust of Philip the Arab.
