Hemidrachm in silver struck at Gambrion in Mysia under Gorgion, dated first half of the 4th century BC. Corpus Nummorum, the online type corpus of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, records it as CN type 19744 (period: Classical Period; issuing authority type: city).

Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo, right. Reverse: Forepart of butting bull, right. Legend: ΓΟΡΓΙ. Measured specimens give a mean weight of 1.54 g (mean of 2 recorded specimens) and a diameter of 10–11 mm (from 2 recorded specimens). The corpus assigns the type to the reduced Chian weight standard. Historical context

Gambrion, also recorded as Gambrium, was an ancient town in Mysia and Aeolis situated in the Bakırçay valley on a hill named Hisarlık, near modern Kınık and Bergama. The town is first recorded in the Hellenica of Xenophon, which documents the region in 399 BCE. At that time, Gorgion, son of Gongylos, ruled both Gambrion and Palaegambrium, under whose authority this civic hemidrachm was issued in the first half of the 4th century BC.
