Coin in bronze struck at Tyras under Caracalla, dated AD 197–217. Corpus Nummorum, the online type corpus of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, records it as CN type 23895 (period: Roman Imperial Period; issuing authority type: city).

Obverse: Laureate bust of Caracalla, right. Legend: ΑV Κ Μ ΑV ΑΝΤΩΝΙΝΟϹ. Reverse: Dionysus standing left, wearing short chiton, holding cantharos in his right hand and resting his left on thyrsus. Legend: ΤΥΡΑΝΩΝ. Measured specimens give a mean weight of 8.6 g (from 1 recorded specimen) and a diameter of 25 mm (from 1 recorded specimen). Historical context

Tyras was an ancient Greek city founded by colonists from Miletus on the northern coast of the Black Sea, situated near the mouth of the Tyras River. Operating as a civic issuing authority under the Roman Empire, it struck coinage under Caracalla. A member of the Severan dynasty, Caracalla was proclaimed co-ruler by Septimius Severus in 198 and ruled as Roman emperor until his assassination in 217.
