Coin in bronze struck at Kame in Mysia under Hadrian, dated c. AD 129–138. Corpus Nummorum, the online type corpus of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, records it as CN type 3473 (period: Roman Imperial Period; issuing authority type: city).

Obverse: Laureate head of Hadrian, right. Legend: ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ. Reverse: Hygieia standing facing, head left, holding patera in right hand and a serpent in left arm. Legend: ϹΤΡ ΤΡVΦωΝΟϹ ΚΑΜΗΝωΝ. Measured specimens give a mean weight of 4.52 g (mean of 3 recorded specimens) and a diameter of 20 mm (from 3 recorded specimens). Historical context

Hadrian was Roman emperor from 117 to 138, succeeding Trajan as a member of the Nerva–Antonine dynasty. Known as a promoter of philhellenism who visited nearly every province, he preferred establishing stable borders and directly intervening in imperial and provincial matters over territorial expansion. This coin was issued by the city authority of Kame in Mysia, a region located in the northwest of ancient Asia Minor along the south coast of the Sea of Marmara.
